UPESSC Principal Recruitment 2026 Online Form for 111 Posts

For the UPESSC Principal post, candidates must meet the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notification:

• Ph.D. degree.
• Professor / Associate Professor with at least 15 years of teaching or research service / experience in a university, college or other higher education institution.
• At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Minimum 110 research score as per Table 2.

Note: For Principal posts in Law colleges, Bar Council of India norms will be considered. For Principal posts in teacher training / B.Ed. colleges, NCTE norms will be considered.

Tenure condition: A college Principal will be appointed for a period of five years. If performance is found satisfactory in the evaluation conducted by the committee constituted by the university under the relevant regulations, the tenure may be extended for a second term of five years.

After completing the tenure as Principal, the incumbent will return to the parent office with the designation of Professor in the Professor grade.
